Leonard Adams, age 73, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. He was born on May 16, 1937, in Maynardsville, Tenn. He was the son of Charles and Paralee (Hunley) Adams. Leonard married Georgia R. (Barlow) Adams on Feb. 12, 1966 in Indianapolis.
Leonard worked as a Warehouse Fork Lift Operator for Allied Grocers for 27 years; he was also a Union Steward for Teamsters Local 135 in Indianapolis. Mr. Adams was a member of Moose Lodge in Shelbyville and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving him are his wife, Georgia Adams of Morristown; sons, Keith W. Adams of Muncie and Nick Adams (Beverly) of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter, Tonya S. Endris (Fred) of Shelbyville; brothers, Frank Adams of Powell, Tenn. and Robert Adams of Indianapolis; sisters, Mickey Brooks and Margaret Goins both of Knoxville, Tenn. and Ann Craft of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Melanie, Jeremy, Joshua, Justin, Brandon and Nathan; and four great-grandchildren, Destiny, Desirae, Jordan and Aiden.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Charles Jr., Herbert, Ed and Clyde “Tony”; and infant sister, Hazel.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Pastor David Woods will be officiating. Burial will follow at Fountaintown Cemetery.
