Delmar G. McCaslin Sr., age 81, of New Castle, died on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at his home. He was born Feb.15, 1929, in Scottsburg to the late Delmar E. and Emma (Brown) McCaslin.
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Chesher) McCaslin; children, Linda McCaslin of New Castle, Delmar Jr. McCaslin of Malabar, Fla., Mike McCaslin of New Castle, Shelly Rillaerts of Palm Bay, Fla., Kelly McCaslin of New Castle; three sisters, Margaret Chesher of New Castle, Betty (Bub) Johnson of Greenfield, Ruthie (Don) Dudley of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death are his parents; and his stepmother, Mary McCaslin.
Services will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors Frank Wood and Don Chesher officiating. Friends may call from 12 p.m. noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
