Wendell H. Vincent, 76, of Amboy, Ind., passed away at Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo. He was born March 29, 1934, in Miami County, the son of Laurel Estel and Helen M. Gordon Vincent.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Ann (Larrison) Vincent of Amboy; daughters, Stephanie (Michael) Fruth of Carthage, Lezlie (Kevin) Woods of Peru, and Beth (Scott) Getzin of Greenfield; son, Roger (Lisa) Vincent of Amboy; a sister, Beverly (Earl) Overman of Peru; brother, Wayne (Jane) Vincent of Richmond; sister-in-law, Virginia Vincent of Freeport, Maine; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Murray Vincent.
Family and friends will gather from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at the Amboy Friends Church, 110 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Amboy. A service celebrating the life of Wendell H. Vincent will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the church, with Pastor Dwight Elliott and Pastor Richard Martens officiating. Burial will be at the Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy with military graveside service provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
