Virgil “Chad” L. Chadwick,76, passed away Jan. 26, 2011. He was born Sept. 4, 1934, to the late Theodore and Gladys (Sheppard) Chadwick.
A longtime resident of Indianapolis, Virgil was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and married Jacolyn Jean Reynolds, who preceded him in death February 1, 2005. He was employed with H. H. Gregg for 28 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge #251 F.& A.M.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services at 12 noon on Saturday .
Virgil is survived by his children, Laura (Rick) Wells and Gary (Tami) Chadwick; siblings, Jack Chadwick and Audrey Phillips; grandchildren, Kara Theil, Karina and Kurtis Wells, Whitney Bond and Alexis Williams; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A brother, Ted Chadwick, also preceded him in death.
