Cecil “Grumpy” Elliott, 82, Markleville, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at his residence. He was born Jan. 7, 1929, in Mansfield, Ohio, and resided in Markleville.
He is survived by his sons, Donald W. (Becki) Elliott of Anderson and Timothy P. (Vickie) Elliott of Pendleton; daughter, Becky S. (Randy) Brown of Mount Pleasant, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra (Norman) Dick of Bloomington and Darlene (Tommy) Sheets of Anderson; brother, Lyndell (Linda) Elliott of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Morrison) Elliott; parents, LeRoy Elliott & Retha Mae (Wright) Elliott; and brothers, LeRoy Elliott Jr. and Leonard D. Elliott.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at the funeral home, with Rev. Gerald Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
