Wilma “Gerry” Lunsford, 90 of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Morristown Manor (Shelby County). She was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Washington, Ind., the daughter of Wallace and Cordia (Grove) Raney, both whom have preceded her in death.
Gerry worked as a secretary in Obstetrics admittance at I.U. Medical Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Patrick) Kauchak; a sister, Vera Smith; a granddaughter,Carol Kauchak (Greg) Roland; a grandson, Woodrow “Chip” (Lisa) Kauchak; great-grandsons, Steven and Joseph “Joey” Roland; great-granddaughters, Lennox and Kendall Kauchak; nieces, Betty Hogan and Jerry Lou Newsom; and nephew, Kenneth Smith.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Lunsford; a brother, Robert Raney; and a niece, Patty Owens.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, with the funeral services starting at 4 p.m. in Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park North Funeral Center.
