Barbara Soots, 73, a resident of New Palestine died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Sugar Creek Convalescent & Nursing Center. She was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Indianapolis to the late Harold and Anna Virginia (Summers) Bowley.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Soots; son, Mark Edward (Audrey) Soots, Manhattan, Kan.; daughters, Beckie (Jeffery) Emery, Indianapolis, Sandy (Robin) Milton, Albany, and Lorianne Groves, New Palestine; sister, Shirley Worland, Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
