SOUTHERN HANCOCK – Officials with the Community School Corporation of Southern Hancock County will interview four candidates at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 at corporation headquarters in New Palestine to fill a vacant school board seat.
The four candidates are, Laura Haeberle, Suzanne Cannon, Jon Hooker and Ethan Maple, officials from the corporation said.
The Board received four applications in all and all four candidates will be interviewed, officials said in a release to the Daily Reporter.
The selection process will help the board as they replace long time school board member Bill Niemier who stepped down with one year remaining on his term. Niemier left the board to become a member of the New Palestine Town Council in 2020.
The meeting is open to the public.
See Wednesday’s edition of the Daily Reporter for details of the selection process.
