Local artists Sandy Hall, Leslie Newton, Deborah Smith, Jenny Moore Smith, Gale Sturm and Jeanne Zeigler will have works on display during the opening reception for “Blending Interpretations of the American Southwest.”

The event is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. Main St. in Greenfield. Admission is free.

These artists, who are inspired by the Southwest aesthetic, traveled to New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado to work onsite. The show includes both fine painting and photography. Works in the gallery are for sale. A percentage of the proceeds supports the Hancock County Arts and Cultural Council.

The gallery is open on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by email appointments at [email protected]. The show runs through Aug. 25, with paintings available through Aug. 31.
