NEW PALESTINE — An experienced fitness instructor will return to lead fitness classes at New Palestine High School’s Community Education Program.

Stacey Poe has more than 20 years of combined dance and fitness experience and is excited to be a part of the community education program. She brings excitement and variety to each class, event organizers said.

Poe plans to incorporate popular Zumba Fitness, as well as Zumba Toning into her workouts, as well as her newest certification in Pound Fitness, which uses weighted drumsticks in its workout routines.

Students get to pretend they are rock stars. Students will also experience the auditory aspect of “playing” with the music and the physical aspect of working every muscle in the body, according to a press release.

All of these classes work the entire body in a fun way, organizers said.

Students will build strength and flexibility in the body and camaraderie with others in this class, according to a press release.

Participants are asked to bring a friend or make new ones to help keep participants motivated.

This class will meet on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6 to 7 p.m., in the New Palestine High School cafeteria, 4485 S. Victory Dr., New Palestine.

The first class will begin Jan. 2 and classes continues until May 17 for a total of 32 nights.

The cost for the session is $80 per person for the complete 32-night session.

Fee payment will be expected and appreciated on the first night of the class.
